On the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and discussed the Armenia-Turkey normalization process.

The two leaders stressed the importance of advancing the normalization process and expressed readiness to give new impetus to bilateral relations. In this regard, the sides considered it necessary to consistently pursue efforts aimed at promoting trade and economic relations, establishing ties between business communities, as well as jointly restoring the historic Ani bridge.

They also exchanged views on regional issues.

Nikol Pashinyan and Recep Tayyip Erdogan highlighted the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that it will have a significant impact on the development of regional cooperation. In this context, they emphasized the need to implement the TRIPP project and unblock regional communication routes.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended a reception in New York hosted on behalf of U.S. President Donald Trump. Pashinyan is on a working visit to the U.S., where he is participating in the 81st session of the U.N. General Assembly and is scheduled to address its high-level segment.
