BRUSSELS, September 29. /TASS/. The European Commission (EC) has asked the United States not to restrict diesel supplies to Europe, European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jorgensen told reporters.

"I've sent a very clear signal to my American counterpart and also the public, which is that it is not in the interests of anybody, not the US, not us, to not have as free a flow of energy as possible in these difficult times," he said when asked about a possible diesel export ban by the United States.

US President Donald Trump said earlier that he was very seriously considering imposing a ban on the export of diesel fuel due to rising prices in the country.
