MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. Chief Executive Officer of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom met Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan, the press service of the state corporation said.

The parties discussed the repeated extension of the service life for the Armenian nuclear power plant (NPP) until 2036. The first stage of the project was completed and in conclusion the nuclear plant was greenlit to continue the power generating unit operation, Likhachev said at the meeting.

Particular attention was paid at the meeting to prospects of creating new nuclear power generating facilities in Armenia, the press service noted. "Rosatom offers Armenia proven nuclear technologies in various capacity ranges, including power generating units of high, medium, and small capacity," it added.
