The Senate has officially passed the Protect College Sports Act, and former University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban has been a major advocate for the bill, repeatedly sharing his thoughts on it via ESPN College GameDay.

However, on Saturday, Saban, now host of College GameDay, offered a completely different perspective after comments on star quarterback Kamario Taylor.

“If I was coaching right now, I’d be trying to get Kamario Taylor to get in the portal,” Saban said

Analyst Dan Dakich recently took to YouTube on his Don’t @Me! show to address Saban’s comments on GameDay, calling out Saban’s ‘hypocrisy’ towards the subject.

“Yeah, I’ve had enough of Nick Saban, Dakich said. “Nick Saban was smart; he hooked his wagon to McAfee, which made everybody forget about all the bullsh*t that he did as a coach. But I’ve had enough. His hypocrisy is on display all the time.”

Dakich defended his statements, addressing Saban’s earlier comments on the state of college football that contradict his most recent ones.

“Saban is out there selling Congress and the public on the idea that college football is broken and needs to be fixed,” Dakich added.

“He’s supporting legislation, and there are commercials everywhere that would bring order to the transfer portal. The transfer portal, I’m gonna say it three times: the transfer portal, NIL, and the chaos, he says, is destroying the sport. That’s what Nick Saban said, and Nick Saban is on TV promoting a very good act, the Safe College Sports Act, which hopefully will pass. But he’s out there talking about all of this.”

Dakich voiced no affection for the acclaimed college football coach, referring to him as a ‘cheat.’

“Nick Saban is a clown; I don’t give a damn what any of you ‘oh man Nick won championships, and he’s a great..’ no no Nick Saban is a cheat, and I despise cheats.”

Saban has yet to comment on the media criticism around his statements.
