In your own words the restoration was a success
The transfer was successful in uploading it to Vault, there was an issue pulling it back when you tried to restore which could very well have been a temporary connectivity issue on your side (which is the most common reason for this)
If the upload to Vault was not successful, then you simply would have not been able to restore it at all, no matter how many times you tried thus proving the point once a for all that the transfer was successful.
If you like, I will take any backup of your choosing and restore it onto a clone to prove the transfer to Vault is reliable.
