MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. Autonomous tanks with unmanned turrets were used during the main stage of the Center-2026 drills at the Chebarkulsky training ground to provide fire support to assault units, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"As part of armored groups, unmanned tanks used a combat maneuvering technique to carry out fire missions, engaging identified enemy targets from short halts and moving to new firing positions," the ministry said.

The ministry noted that the use of a multi-channel, jamming-resistant control system facilitates the rapid movement of unmanned tanks on the battlefield. A key feature of the system is the duplication of the most vulnerable control components.
