CHELYABINSK REGION, October 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Chebarkul training ground of the Central Military District, where he observed the strategic command and staff exercises Center-2026.

The Center-2026 drills are being held from September 28 to October 3. Their theme is "The use of troop (force) groupings in repelling aggression on the Central Asian strategic axis and ensuring military security in the Caspian Sea zone."

The exercises are aimed at improving the practical skills of the command staff and headquarters of the formations in managing troop groupings, as follows from published information about the event.
