Written from press release

Bloomington, Ind. – October 1, 2026

Duke Energy has selected an 87-acre property along Fullerton Pike in Bloomington for its 2026 Site Readiness Program, a statewide effort intended to prepare industrial properties for potential future development.

The property, at 3100 W. Fullerton Pike, is located along Interstate 69 and has direct frontage and ramp access, according to Duke Energy. The company said the site is served by major utilities and has access to the regional workforce.

The program does not represent a confirmed development project, tenant announcement or construction commitment.

Duke said the program evaluates properties and works with local economic-development organizations to market them to companies considering expansion or relocation.

Clark Greiner, interim CEO of the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation, said the Fullerton Pike site combines interstate visibility, available utilities and access to a growing employment corridor.

The site is one of three selected by Duke Energy this year. The other properties are in Bartholomew and Dearborn counties.

Duke said its Site Readiness Program has helped prepare 53 properties since 2013. The company said those properties have contributed to 32 major projects, more than 10,300 jobs and nearly $15 billion in capital investment.

The announcement does not identify a prospective company, expected construction date, projected number of jobs or proposed incentives for the Fullerton Pike property.
