MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. A Swedish electronic intelligence aircraft has been detected over neutral waters in the Black Sea, where a NATO reconnaissance plane registered in the US is already operating, a source in the European Union’s air traffic control services told TASS.

"A Gulfstream S102B Korpen electronic intelligence aircraft of the Swedish Air Force has started operating over neutral waters in the Black Sea, where a NATO Bombardier Artemis II reconnaissance plane registered in the US was spotted about an hour ago," the source said. He described the situation as a rare occurrence, pointing to the similarity in the flight paths of both planes.

"The Swedish aircraft took off from an airfield in Bucharest and is currently flying over neutral waters at an altitude of about 12 kilometers, while the Bombardier Artemis II plane, which took off earlier from Romania’s Constanta, is flying from west to east and back in the southern part of the area at an altitude of about 9.5 kilometers," the source specified.

The source added that the Swedish electronic intelligence aircraft had flown over the Black Sea in the previous two days, spending more than seven hours there on Tuesday.
