Libertarian candidate Ken Krawchuk received 2%, while 5% of voters were undecided.

The poll marks Quinnipiac’s first survey of likely Pennsylvania voters in the 2026 election cycle, meaning its results cannot be directly compared with the university’s earlier surveys of registered voters.

Shapiro holds overwhelming support among Democrats, with 95% backing the incumbent compared with 2% for Garrity. Among Republicans, Garrity leads Shapiro 79%-17%.

Shapiro also holds a substantial advantage among independent voters, with 62% supporting him and 23% backing Garrity. Krawchuk received 5% among independents.

Shapiro’s favorable rating also exceeds Garrity’s. Fifty-five percent of likely voters view Shapiro favorably, compared with 29% who view him unfavorably. Fourteen percent said they had not heard enough about him to form an opinion.

Garrity is viewed favorably by 22% of likely voters and unfavorably by 32%, while 44% said they had not heard enough about her.

“One of the country’s most popular governors gets a rousing endorsement from Pennsylvania’s likely voters in a race that looks like a rout,” Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy said.

Voters Split on Direction of Pennsylvania

Fifty-six percent of likely voters said they are very or somewhat satisfied with the way things are going in Pennsylvania, including 8% who are very satisfied and 48% who are somewhat satisfied.

Forty-two percent said they are dissatisfied, including 25% who are somewhat dissatisfied and 17% who are very dissatisfied.
