After the Las Vegas Raiders fell short to the Kansas City Chiefs 30-27 on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, took to social media to take a jab at Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak.
Entering halftime with his team leading by three points, Kubiak told CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson that the Raiders’ running game had not been “good enough, we got to do better.
“But you know what, we’re winning,” he added before saying the famous last words that drew the attention of Mahomes. “We’re going to win this game.”
The Chiefs overcame the early deficit to score 20 points in the final quarter to eek out the win. Mahomes posted sideline photos of herself after the game with Kubiak’s halftime quote.
“We’re winning. We’re gonna win this game,” she wrote with a giggling emoji.
The post garnered thousands of likes and hundreds of comments as Kubiak’s halftime interview had circulated social media before the game went final.
Just four games into his tenure in Las Vegas, Kubiak has left some bulletin board material for the Chiefs, who host the Raiders for a rematch in the final game of the regular season.
