RABAT, October 9. /TASS/. The US military has submitted a plan for possible strikes against Iran to US President Donald Trump, including attacks on targets up to 80 kilometers inside the Islamic Republic’s territory, Al Hadath television reported, citing a senior US military source.

According to the source, "Trump has been presented with proposals for strikes against Iranian military facilities located along the coast, at a depth of 50 to 80 kilometers." The same source specified that the United States is currently "focusing on imposing a blockade on Iranian ships and ports."

Earlier, The New York Times (NYT) wrote citing unnamed US administration officials, that the US military is examining the possibility of resuming the full-fledged military operation against Iran, despite President Donald Trump’s earlier remarks. The newspaper says that three aircraft carriers will soon be deployed in the Middle East. The Pentagon is also drafting plans of striking missile and drone storage facilities in Iran, as well as other military and energy industry targets in the country.
