The Fraunhofer Venture and Fraunhofer AHEAD team looks forward to the exchange at Bits & Pretzels.

Fraunhofer Venture and Fraunhofer AHEAD, the research organization’s deep-tech incubator, will show how deep-tech innovations can reach the market faster at Bits & Pretzels 2026. Bridging research, entrepreneurship, industry and investors, Fraunhofer helps founding teams turn new technologies into viable business models through spin-offs or partnerships with startups. In keeping with the motto “Where Founders Build Networks,” Fraunhofer brings together key players from across the innovation ecosystem, forging connections that lead to new partnerships with opportunities for mutual growth.

Six startup teams currently supported by Fraunhofer Venture and Fraunhofer AHEAD will be featured at Bits & Pretzels: 

FCTRY CLD lets companies use AI and automation in production without sending sensitive data to public cloud providers. The startup provides real-time cloud infrastructure that runs on customers’ premises.

CAPO-IFF uses sensors and intelligent audio analysis to monitor construction sites and automatically generate reports. The startup offers construction companies a digital solution that saves time and money while providing project managers with remote updates on construction progress.

Mycelia detects cyberattacks, isolates affected systems and restores operations within minutes. The startup provides businesses with a cyber defense platform for their IT and production infrastructure.

AMadrillo develops exceptionally durable, 3D-printed disc cutters for tunnel boring machines. The startup sells optimized tools that reduce downtime and accelerate tunnel construction projects.

Creolub develops PFAS-free plastics that eliminate the need for oil or grease while reducing friction and wear. The startup offers these materials for use in durable, clean and low-maintenance industrial components.

CAURUS makes aerial firefighting more precise and water efficient. The startup provides a sensor-based system that disperses a fine mist of water. Designed for use with drones, helicopters and airplanes, the system is operated through a real-time platform.
