Hospitality group Hyatt Hotels Corp. is expanding its luxury footprint across the Americas, with Mexico at the center of its plans.
Heading into the final quarter of 2026, the company is spotlighting a run of openings and new guest experiences across its Park Hyatt, Alila and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brands. Leading the push is a trio of Park Hyatt properties in Mexico, including the brand’s first all-inclusive hotel.
“I couldn’t be more excited about our new luxury hotels — each individual, each thoughtful and gracefully designed with thought, taste and elegance,” said Tamara Lohan, global brand leader of luxury at Hyatt, in a statement.
“Our focus is to grow thoughtfully and give travelers more choice while ensuring each hotel has a clear point of view and highly personal service at its center.”
Mexico in focus
Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol opened on the coast of Baja California Sur in December 2025 as the brand’s first hotel in Mexico.
Park Hyatt Riviera Maya, expected by the end of the year, will be the world’s first all-inclusive Park Hyatt, with fully à la carte dining and personalized pre-arrival planning.

Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco will follow in spring 2027, adding 155 rooms and suites overlooking Chapultepec Park.
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt has added The Clayfield, a wine-country retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and will welcome adults-only, all-inclusive Impression Isla Mujeres on Nov. 2.
The collection is also introducing an experiences program built around private culinary outings and access to local artists and makers.
Alila, meanwhile, opened the 182-key Alila Mayakoba in February. As of Oct. 1, the brand’s four properties in the Americas are part of upscale grocer Erewhon’s Member Lifestyle Collective, putting Alila in front of a wellness-minded audience.
Grand Hyatt resorts in Grand Cayman, Cancún and Los Cabos are also slated to open this quarter.
Hyatt appointed Ms. Lohan to lead its luxury brands globally last December (see story).
