Ewan McGregor and his daughter Clara were in good spirits as they arrived at the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic on Saturday.

The actor, 52, and his eldest daughter, 27,  have had a rocky relationship, since she famously branded his second wife Mary a 'piece of trash' called him an 'a***hole'.

But the father and daughter have repaired their relationship over the past five years and recently completed work on their first joint project.

Ewan cut a casual figure in a grey T-shirt and jeans while he shielded his eyes behind a pair of dark sunglasses.

He sported a moustache and messy hair as he posed alongside film producer daughter Clara.

Clara wore a white top with a plunging neckline and a pair of black shorts, while she carried a brown handbag on her shoulder.

She too wore a pair of sunglasses and opted for lashings of make-up for her outing.

The pair were seen smiling as they posed alongside each other after arriving at the event.

Ewan is set to be honoured at the festival in the Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary which kicked off its 57th edition on Friday.

He and and Swedish actor Alicia Vikander, 34, will receive the President’s Award, and they will both present their latest films.

The festival opened with Firebrand, in which Alicia plays the leading role of Katherine Parr.

While Ewan will present You Sing Loud, I Sing Louder, which he stars in as the character of Father with daughter Clara, who plays the role of Daughter.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival runs through until next Saturday July 8.

The grand jury will consider 11 films for the top prize, the Crystal Globe. Last month, Ewan was spotted in Halifax, West Yorkshire where he was filming his new television series A Gentleman In Moscow.

TV series, A Gentleman In Moscow, tells the story of a Russian aristocrat who is spared from death and placed on house arrest while the Bolshevik Revolution plays out before him.

Ewan will play Alexander Rostov in the programme alongside his real-life wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who will take on the part of Anna Urbanova.

The Moulin Rouge! actor has a 23-month-old son, Laurie, with second wife Mary, who he tied the knot with in April 2022.

The couple had not revealed they were expecting and their surprise baby news was first shared by Ewan's daughter Clara in June 2021.

She wrote: 'Welcome to the world little brother congratulations to my Dad & Mary - this is the greatest gift.'

His daughter Esther also shared pictures cradling the newborn as she gushed: 'Met my little brother looking like a pirate. I recommend! Welcome to the family little Laurie.'

Ewan was previously married to actress Eve, who met one another on the set of the TV crime drama Kavanagh QC.

Sadly, they split in 2017 after 22 years of marriage and their divorce was finalised in August 2020, blaming 'irreconcilable differences.'

They are parents to daughters Clara, 27, and Esther, 21 and Anouk, 12, Ewan adopted daughter Jamyan, 21, with production designer Eve in 2006
