Vowing to love, honor and obey the bride — and not her sister — is the name of game. 

Nerves are known to get the best of some grooms in the minutes prior to taking the plunge. But when one jittery fella’s big day mistake, calling his wife-to-be another woman’s name, is a “f- -ked up” slip of the lip that the internet refuses to forgive. 

“POV: You’re standing at the altar and your husband calls you the wrong name,” Emma, a newlywed based in Brisbane, wrote in the captions of a chaotic clip from her ceremony.

Footage of the nightmare nuptials, amassing over 2.2 million views, features her groom pledging his life and undying love to “Emily,” rather than to her, Emma. 

“Plot twist,” the blonde added to the vid’s caption. “It’s my sister’s name. Still it over being called Emily at the altar.”

Now, seething social media savages want to alter the guy’s face — and worse. 

“I’m going to have to kill him,” spat an incensed commenter.

“I’d have walked off and cancelled the wedding,” wrote another. “This is the most humiliating wedding outcome possible. I’m so sorry, girl.”

“Oh hell f- -king no,” barked an equally peeved spectator, while hundreds more likened the groom’s gaffe to that of fictional “Friends” character “Ross Geller,” portrayed by David Schwimmer, who infamously made a similar boo-boo while getting hitched. 

“In all seriousness, if there’s any part of you that thinks maybe this is weird, you’re right,” a concerned onlooker noted, in part. “This is really strange, and sometimes it’s the simplest tells that reveal the biggest lies.”

But even the most glaring red flag warnings haven’t stopped other brides from saying “I Do” to potentially doomed futures. 

From the gals who go with the flow after getting cake smushed in their faces, to the forgiving sweethearts who turn a blind eye to their groom and bridesmaid swapping physical flirtations, permissive ladies have overlooked a lot. 

But experts warn that wedding day misconduct can serve as an omen for more sinister issues to come.

“While not every wedding day will be ‘perfect’, ideally, all parties involved look back on the day with good feelings and good memories,” Carly Dober, a psychologist, previously said in a statement regarding a groom who dunked his bride in a swimming pool. 

“Behavior such as this can highlight the disparities in some heterosexual relationships where women’s feelings aren’t valued and they might not be respected by their partner,” cautioned the pro. 

Emma, however, views her hubby’s hiccup as silly misspeak instead of wanton disrespect. 

“If it was a random name I would have QUESTIONS,” she wrote in response to a commenter’s shock. “My sister is my best friend. I have no concerns.”
