Oct 11, 2026, 17:52:39 IST

1. Shami stars, with his four-wicket haul, as Bengal fold Delhi for 240. The hosts was definitely hoping for a much less total, after having them for less then 200 runs when Shami picked up the eighth wicket after tea, but Shokeen's fifty troubled them quite a lot.

2. Shikhar Mohan's 143 propelled Jharkhand to 289 for five at the close of Day 1.

1. Strong start from Saurashtra, with three batters scoring 70-plus runs on Day 1. Ravindra Jadeja remains unbeaten on 72, alongside Prerak Mankad, 92 not out, as Saurashtra stand 308 for four at Stumps against Chhattisgarh.

2. Rain affected day in New Chandigarh, and Assam-Punjab game witnessed just 23 overs of action, where the visitors lost three wickets for 68 runs. Umesh Yadav, who joined Punjab right at the start of the season, picked up two of the wickets.

3. On his captaincy debut, Smaran Ravichandran led the charge for Karnataka single-handedly, scoring 126 runs, which came after the side went four down inside the first eight overs. Karnataka finished with 274 runs, before picking two wickets at the close of Day 1 to leave Andhra at 16/2.

4. Sandip Sarkar picked up four wickets for Tripura, but Hyderabad all but closed in on their first-innings total of 134, standing just 13 runs behind.

2. A slow day for Baroda on Day 1, where Deepak Hooda, on his return to the domestic side, scored an unbeaten 35 off 49. Baroda reached 200/3.

3. What a comeback from Vidarbha. They were 54 for five inside the first 21 overs of the day, before centuries from Yash Rathod and Akshay Wadekar, who also stitched a 246-run stand for the sixth-wicket. Vidarbha score 300/5 in 85 overs at stumps.

4. The defending champions, Jammu & Kashmir, have been reduced to 3/1, with Avesh Khan dismissing Kahuria in the third over after the hosts folded MP for 196. J&K's stars with the ball -- Rohit Sharma (not THAT batter) picked up five wickets, while Sunil Kumar snared four.

Oct 11, 2026, 16:34:29 IST

He is the seventh centurion on Day 1. He brings up his hundred in 153 balls, laced with seven boundaries and three sixes as Uttar Pradesh inch closer to the 300-run mark, riding in a 195-run unbeaten stand for the fourth wicket.

Oct 11, 2026, 16:30:33 IST

Shami picks up the final wicket of the innings, dismissing Shokeen, who quite frustrated Bengal post Tea with his half-century knock, as he returned with figures of 4/30 in 17.3 overs, which comprised nine maidens. Spinner Aamir Gani picked up three, while two other pacers, Mukesh and Akash, snared three among themselves as Bengal folded Delhi for 240. And that's stumps in Kalyani.

Oct 11, 2026, 16:13:05 IST

We got lost in the 16 Ranji matches going on simultaneously, but, after scanning through the scorecards and the three streams available, we found that Day 1 witnessed a total of six centurions. Besides Shikar Mohan, Madhav Kaushik and Vivek Singh, Yash Rathod of Vidarbha, Karnataka's Smaran Ravichandran and Gourav Choudhary of Odisha also scored their respective hundreds. And, there are a total of 24 fifty-plus scores.

Madhav Kaushik is the second centurion on the opening day of the 2026/27 Ranji Trophy season, getting to his mark in 215 balls for Uttar Pradesh in the match against Bihar in Rajgir, where he has stitched an unbeaten 130-run stand for the fourth wicket alongside Rinku Singh, who as well brought up his century.

This is Kaushik's fourth FC century, and 10th fifty-plus score.

Oct 11, 2026, 15:19:11 IST

The fast bowler has made an excellent start to the Ranji season, right after his India A performance against Australia A, followed by his India ODI debut against the West Indies last week. The Haryana bowler picked up three wickets for just 16 runs to restrict Himachal for just 99 for six. Quite the way of impressing the selectors, who have already picked him for the India A red-ball campaign in New Zealand.

Oct 11, 2026, 15:13:41 IST

Delhi go 8 down after Tea as Shami picked up his third wicket in the innings, dismissing Divij Mehra for 24 off 38. Hrithik Shokeen then smashed him for a big six, while Saini cut the fuller and wider ball through point for a four as Delhi reached the 200-run mark.

Karnataka continue to lose wickets at regular intervals but skipper Ravichandran Smaran is holding one end up. He has moved to 79 and Karnataka are nearing the 200-run mark. He needs to stay in the middle and play with the tail to help the team post a substantial total.

Karnataka 194/7

Oct 11, 2026, 14:11:38 IST

Tea has been taken at Kalyani and Delhi enter the break at 164/7. Good session for Bengal as they took wickets at regular intervals. Shami, Akash Deep and Gani all struck in the second session. Divij and Shokeen in the middle for Delhi.

The play resumes in 20 minutes.

Oct 11, 2026, 14:09:28 IST

Oct 11, 2026, 13:49:17 IST

Jharkhand opener Shikhar Mohan registers the first hundred of the 2026 season as he brings up a ton against Kerala. He gets to the milestone with a maximum off the bowling of Jalaj Saxena. This is his third century in First-Class cricket in 17 innings and is now nearing on 1000 career runs. He continues with his rich vein of form.

However, Mohammed Siraj is yet to take a single wicket as the scalps have been shared between Tanay Thyagarajan, Gangam Anikethreddy and M Ruthik Yadav.

Oct 11, 2026, 13:25:08 IST

Karnataka 133/5

Oct 11, 2026, 13:07:30 IST

Woah! That's some delivery. Mohammed Shami gets the ball to jag back in sharply and Doseja plays all over it. He is trapped right in front and the umpire doesn't think twice before raising his finger. The left-hander walks back after scoring 45 runs. Second wicket for Shami and Bengal get their sixth.

Delhi 126/6 in 41.1 overs.

Oct 11, 2026, 13:05:32 IST

Karnataka are slowly and steadily finding their groove in the match against Andhra. At one stage, Karnataka were 22/4 but a 100-run stand between skipper Smaran and KL Shrijith has taken the team past the 130-run mark. Ravichandran Smaran and Shrijit have hit fifties and are looking in good touch.
