A man was arrested Friday after an online video apparently showed a horse being dragged by a white pickup truck, and the animal was later found.

Guadalupe Camarillo Guarneros, 62, turned himself in at the Metropolitan Police Department headquarters and was taken into custody.

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of willful or malicious torture, maiming, or killing of a dog, cat, or animal, police said.

Neighbors said the dark-colored horse with white markings was found dead near a residence on the 1300 block of Ringe Lane, near North Nellis Boulevard and East Washington Avenue.

A video showing the horse being dragged also circulated widely on social media.

Investigators had been asking for the public’s help in identifying the horse’s owner and the driver of the white single-cab pickup truck.

Court records indicate that Camarillo Guarneros posted bond right after his arrest and is no longer in custody. The standard bail for his charge was $ 5,000.

Camarillo Guarneros is due in court on Aug. 3.
