Senators of Florida passed a bill on the armament of school teachers.

It is also planned to tighten security measures in schools by increasing the number of security guards. Such a decision was made in the Upper House of the State Parliament. The new bill aims to prevent tragedies, such as mass shootings in schools.

In addition, the senators voted to raise the age limit for the purchase of assault weapons from 18 to 21 years. Besides, the politicians decided to ban trading of devices that increase the firepower of semi-automatic weapons.

The reason for the adoption of such measures could be a tragedy that occurred recently at the school in Parkland. Then, due to the shooting at school, 17 people were killed. The dead included both adults and children. 12 people died right in the school, 5 more - next to it.

We recall that Hollywood actors will put on badges of orange color at the Oscar ceremony in order to draw attention of a society to free sale of the weapon in the USA.
