The lovebirds made their red carpet debut two months later at a Candy Kittens bash, where they were joined by Alison's son Aidan, 20.
And weighing in on the 20 year age gap between her and David, she admitted it isn't a problem as he is incredibly 'mature and sensible', while she 'is not'.
'Things are going really, really well,' she gushed in an interview with The Mirror.
'He just has the most beautiful energy and everyone feels it when they're in his presence. It's very rare. I am so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.'

The much-loved This Morning host is used to do Christmas in big but this year, she wants to keep it simple - like going to a fancy restaurant with David and her son Aidan, 20
Admitting it feels 'lovely' being in love, she added: 'It makes you more patient, it makes you kinder, because you've always got somebody you want to care for — and they're caring for you.'
When asked if a marriage was possibly on the cards, Alison said they currently have no plans for a wedding at the moment, just because they don't feel like 'they need to'.

She revealed her ideal this year would be to just go to a fancy restaurant with David and her son Aidan.
The ITV favourite confirmed the couple has been living together, which makes them 'happy the way it is', before adding: 'I don't need a ring to show my love to somebody.'
Yet, she left a glimpse of clue revealing if he asked her to marry him tomorrow, 'it wouldn't be a no.'
Last year, Alison opened up chatting to Good Housekeeping UK's for its January issue - saying her and David 'fit like a jigsaw' as she revealed their traits balance each other out.
Speaking about their 22-year age gap, she said: 'I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference. But honestly, when we see the word "toyboy" written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all.
And while she seems on cloud nine over her relationship, the Great British Bake Off icon was quick to weight down on the pair's age gap - admitting he is incredibly 'mature and sensible', while she 'is not'

'Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: "We get it now." He’s so mature and sensible, and I’m so not.
She added: 'And the things he says to me...they’re just so lovely. It’s like a jigsaw; we fit and it all comes together.'
During the interview, Alison also spoke about her loving relationship with her son Aidan- who she recently gave an emotional apology to for 'not always being there'.
'If you could feel the way my son loves me, it’s magical,' she said. 'He’s grown into such a gentleman. He helps me so much, doing things around the house.
'He gives really good advice and because he’s Gen Z, he has his finger on the pulse and tells me what’s cool.
'He’s the yin to my yang; he’s like me, but a calmer version. I’m all, ‘Woo-hoo’ and he’s more, "Mum, chill." He doesn’t try to rein me in, though.'
She joked: 'He wouldn’t try to change me because, well, why mess with perfection?'
Alison's comments about her boyfriend David are the first time she has spoken in depth about him, after mentioning him on This Morning last month.
