Alison Hammond has reacted after Prince Harry spoofed her Bake Off exchange in a cringeworthy video on the Late Show last night.

Prince Harry mimicked the meme-worthy interaction between Hammond and show contestant Mark Lutton with the Late Show host Stephen Colbert.

Prince Harry made a surprise appearance on the show, which included a bizarre lip sync clip impersonating Hammond as she struggled to understand Lutton in 2024.

In the scene from the New Year's Day special, Hammond mistakenly thought Lutton was telling her to 'beg for me', when he was actually saying 'bake for me'.

The exchange between Colbert and Harry, which was later shared by Meghan Markle on social media, sparked a huge reaction.

The post has now been reshared on Hammond's Instagram Story, as she responded to the unlikely spoof on social media.

Lutton has also reacted to Prince Harry's antics on the chat show. 

The Northern Irish baker, who is now based in Liverpool, said: 'Never did I think my mispronunciation would have such an impact.'

He later went on to share the clip adding: 'Breaking my Instagram silence to share this gem!'

This is the second appearance the Duke has made on the Stephen Colbert show, after making his debut in 2023 for his controversial memoir Spare.

In addition to the embarrassing clip, Harry also took pot-shots at Trump making reference to the 'No Kings' protests against the President before claiming those in the US are 'obsessed with royalty'.

Last night, however, the conversation was largely centred around the upcoming Christmas holidays, with the Prince joining the host, who has been an outspoken critic of the Royal Family, for a sketch about Hallmark holiday films.

The duke wandered through the studio, joking that he had become lost while searching for an audition for the 'Gingerbread Christmas Prince saves Christmas in Nebraska'.

During the skit, artificial snow begins to fall as Harry joked about being a 'handsome prince' and how Colbert just 'had to believe'.

Harry then said he would 'do anything' to appear in a Christmas holiday film joking that he could ride a horse and fly a helicopter before bragging about the showbiz connections he has through his wife.

Later on, Colbert said he had 'got the role' of 'official Late Show prince of Christmas' which was met with cheers from the crowd.

Alongside the festive skit, a number of awkward jokes were made. Many were aimed at Trump as well as CBS' decision to pay $16million (£13.5m) to settle a legal dispute with the President.

The jolly appearance, however, came just as the Daily Mail revealed the Duchess of Sussex's father is in intensive care in the Philippines following emergency surgery.

Neither Harry nor Meghan have publicly commented on the health of Thomas Markle, whom she has been estranged from since 2018.

Mr Markle was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after being taken gravely ill at home. He underwent around three hours of surgery on Wednesday and today remains in the intensive care unit. He now faces a second procedure to remove a blood clot.

The 81-year-old, who has never met his son-in-law or grandchildren, Archie, six, or Lilibet, four, has been in poor health for a number of years.

On the eve of Harry and Meghan's wedding he suffered from two heart attacks which stopped him flying to London from his former home in Los Angeles.

It meant King Charles had to walk Meghan down the aisle at St George's Chapel in Windsor, which Mr Markle later told the Daily Mail it 'was the most gracious and kind thing to do. I shall be forever in his debt.'

He went on to have a stroke in 2022 which left him unable to speak for months. While he regained some speech after therapy he has become increasingly frail.
