Chattanooga's only Hooters restaurant is closing after a long run in Brainerd.

A call to the location yields a message saying it is permanently closed. 

Known for its servers in brief outfits, it has operated for many years at 5912 Brainerd Road.

The closure comes after Hooters filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company was allowed to continue operating while transitioning to a franchise-only business model.
