Olympic champion Adam Peaty has praised his father-in-law Gordon Ramsay, and opened up about the public scrutiny he receives.

Adam wed Gordon's daughter Holly in December last year, and the couple are now expecting their first child together.

The pair announced their adorable news last month, as they were showered in support from fans.

They wrote on social media: "Baby Ramsay-Peaty coming December 2026. We can't wait to meet our baby girl."

Adam, who already has a son from a previous relationship, reportedly crossed paths with his now-wife through Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, when Holly's sister Tilly appeared alongside Adam.

He's now spoken about the public attention he has received, and hailed his father-in-law as an "incredible blessing".

In footage broadcast on BBC Breakfast, ahead of Adam's participation in the Commonwealth Games, he reminisced: "2026 has already been one of those years. Our wedding was one of the best days of my life."

He said he'll "never, ever forget" the moment he saw Holly walk down the aisle at Bath Abbey, recalling the "incredible" music and church, reports the Mirror.

Adam elsewhere spoke about the public attention he’s received after breaking world records and winning Olympic gold medals.

He said: “For me, that can be intrusive but I just see it as, I’m a person that’s good at my job with a by-product.”

The couple's little one will be the first grandchild for TV chef Gordon Ramsay, who shares six children with his wife Tana.

Holly previously shared a Father's Day tribute to her own dad as well as Adam, writing: "Happy Father's Day ARP. You are the best dada ever and I can't wait to see you as a girl dad. Our little lady and George are so lucky to have you x we love you so much."

She added about Gordon: "Happy Father's Day Dad. You are the best ever and wea are so lucky to have you. I love you xx. I can't wait to see you become a grandad."
