Our company operates internationally, managing key engineering and manufacturing projects. We are looking for a Head of Service Station Network to lead the strategic development and operational excellence of our expanding network in Uganda. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in establishing and managing service station networks, implementing efficient logistics and procurement processes, and driving continuous improvement through industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Network Development & Strategy:
  • Spearhead the development and expansion of the service station network, including establishing new locations from the ground up.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Construction on the building and renovation of service centers, adhering to Ministry of Transport specifications.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize network performance and achieve business objectives.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Establish and manage efficient logistics, including inventory control, ordering, and storage systems for all service centers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company procedures and standards across all network operations.
  • Implement and maintain global industry standards such as 5S, Lean, and Kaizen to drive continuous improvement.
  • Plan and manage the workload of all service centers, implementing systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Procurement & Financial Management:
  • Organize and oversee the procurement process for all service stations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Manage procurement, accounting, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Control all financial processes, including budget management and financial reporting.
• ERP & Documentation:
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems, including implementation and management.
  • Ensure all related documentation, including regulatory and compliance documents, is maintained and up-to-date.
• Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure all network operations adhere to all applicable regulatory and company policies.
  • Generate and present comprehensive reports on network performance, procurement, and financial activities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing and managing service station networks.
• Extensive knowledge of logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
• A high level of English proficiency is required.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and their implementation.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining industry standards such as 5S, Lean, and Kaizen.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with construction or renovation projects is highly desirable.
• Proven experience building systems from scratch.

• Willing to relocate to Kampala, Uganda on a 3-month rotational shift basis.
