We won’t need to wait longer for the Switch version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Konami took to social media to announce that it will launch on Nintendo’s console at the exact same time as the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions in October 2026. However, pre-orders aren’t open for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse on the Nintendo eShop yet even though you can already call dibs on it on places like Steam.
This Switch update means we now have one confirmed handheld version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse available at launch. The official Steam page doesn’t note if it will be compatible with the Steam Deck yet. There’s still the “Valve is still learning…” notice there instead. Evil Empire’s The Rogue Prince of Persia is Steam Deck Verified, so it is likely just a matter of time before we get a similar confirmation here.
As a reminder, there is a pre-order promotion in effect for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. If you commit to a copy ahead of launch, then you get an additional costume for Rose Belmont to wear. When the skin is enabled, her hair color and outfit change to match Alucard’s.
Here’s how that will look in-game.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will come to the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 15, 2026.
