Texas leaders order state agencies to cut 3% from budget requests

Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dustin Burrows are directing most Texas state agencies to reduce their baseline funding requests by 3% as the state planning its 2028-29 budget.
