Ex-MLB star Paul Lo Duca revealed Wednesday that he was involved in a 'bad accident' while traveling back home from an Arkansas racetrack.

Lo Duca, a four-time All-Star catcher who played for the Dodgers, Mets, Nationals and Marlins, now works as a horse racing analyst for the New York Racing Association.

And as he shared with his X followers, he was recently left badly injured while making the trip back to New York from the Oaklawn Hot Springs track.

'I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I was involved in a bad accident coming back home to New york from Oaklawn,' he said.

'I was not able to eat for the first couple weeks because of multiple fractures but I’m getting stronger!' 

Lo Duca did not share further details about his injuries or the accident itself, though fans flooded the replies with well-wishes.

The 52-year-old added in one response that he was 'getting better.'

Lo Duca enjoyed a successful 11-year-career after being drafted in 1993.

He made his debut for the Dodgers five years later and spent seven seasons with the franchise before being traded to the Marlins, and later to the Mets, where he spent two seasons.

Lo Duca last played in the 2008 season, returning to the Marlins for a 21-game stint after spending the beginning of the year with the Nationals.
