When OneUI9.0 rolls out, the number of attempts drop to 13 before it needs a reset. Up to the cap you get progressive time outs before you can try again. Once you get the message that you need to contact CS to unlock, that's it. The only thing you can do is reset. I suspect that if you know how, you can reset it yourself, but if you don't CS will walk you through it, or send you to a service location. If you use a fingerprint, make sure the reader and your finger is clean. If you use a PIN, make sure you are not transposing the numbers. If you use a password, tap the "eye" icon in the password entry field to reveal the password you are entering so you will be able to see right away if you are actually entering it correctly. If you use a pattern, well, just don't.
