DOHA, August 6. /TASS/. The heads of foreign ministries of eight nations, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, have condemned Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip in a joint statement published by the Qatari Foreign Ministry.

The foreign ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey strongly condemned Israeli strikes on medical facilities and civilian infrastructure in the Palestinian enclave. "The continuation of these crimes is a clear violation of Israel's obligations under international law and the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, and also undermines international and regional efforts aimed at implementing the second phase of the plan," the authors of the statement emphasized.

The diplomats noted that Israel's actions threaten to derail the political process. They drew particular attention to this after US President Donald Trump announced that Palestinian factions had accepted a roadmap that includes provisions on arms control. The ministers indicated that Israel's actions in Gaza are inextricably linked to attacks by Jewish settlers in the West Bank, illegal settlement expansion and attempts to change the status quo of Jerusalem.

Earlier, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, mediators in the conflict settlement, condemned Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, calling them a violation of the ceasefire agreement. In January 2025, Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement, brokered by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar. On July 30, 2026, US President Donald Trump announced the agreement on the second phase, which provides for the complete disarmament of Palestinian armed groups.
