MOSCOW, September 21. /TASS/. Engineers from Zelenograd have developed a ground robotic system capable of carrying up to 300 kilograms of cargo or two to three people, the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (CUST) told TASS.

"Engineering enthusiasts from Zelenograd, participants in the CUST Accelerator, have developed and tested the Motobuksirovshchik (motorized tug) ground robotic system. <…> The vehicle has a tracked chassis with trailers that can carry up to 300 kg of cargo or two to three people. The platform can reach speeds of up to 25 km/h, with fuel consumption of 1.5 liters per 100 km," the center stated.

The CUST added that the vehicle features an engine speed control system, a start-stop system, and components designed to prevent it from getting stuck or tipping over. The robotic platform also features a remote-controlled track steering system that greatly enhances its maneuverability. Engineers plan to obtain a patent for their invention in the near future.

"In addition to supplying units, the Motobuksirovshchik is designed to accommodate a wide range of payload modules. Popular devices for installation on the ground robotic platform include drone ports, electronic warfare systems, and weapons, including anti-drone turrets," the CUST said.

The company added that the production cost of the vehicle is significantly lower than that of its electric-powered counterparts and standard ground robotic systems. "This platform is perhaps one of the best products in its class in terms of price-to-performance ratio," the center emphasized.
