MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. The Russian stock market ended the trading session on Thursday with a mixed trend, according to Moscow Exchange data.

The MOEX Russia Index slightly moved up to 2,312.35 points. The RTS Index edged down by 0.6% to 857.94 points. The yuan lost ten kopecks to 12.6 rubles.

"Key events related to the MOEX Russia Index evolved around 2,300 points, just as the day before, but volatility intensifies. On the one side, oil prices continued their upward move. On the other side, the budget draft release and fiscal initiatives of the Finance Ministry exerted pressure on the sentiment," Andrey Smirnov from BCS Investment World comments.

"Stocks of Polyus (+3.8%) became the growth leader in the Russian stock market today as the market probably expects the corporation to win from the gold price hike," Natalia Milchakova from Freedom Finance Global said.

Norilsk Nickel stocks fell the most (-5.9%) since the market is likely expecting the dividend payment by the corporation not starting any time soon because of the temporary windfall tax, she added.

BCS Investment World expects the MOEX Russia Index to be in the corridor from 2,270 to 2,370 points. Freedom Finance Global expects index movements within the range from 2,250 to 2,350 points.
