Jenn Wexler and Lulu Wilson talk punk spirit and fighting nazis ahead of the 'The Last Temptation of Becky' World Premiere.
Fans of sick-as-hell, Nazi-killing action won’t want to miss Jenn Wexler’s The Last Temptation of Becky, having its world premiere July 25 at the Fantasia International Film Festival. If you’ve enjoyed either of the previous two entries, Wexler (The Ranger, The Sacrifice Game) gamely ups the ante in this third outing, expanding the world and the action to a scale we haven’t seen before. That same indomitable punk spirit remains, however, in no small part to returning star Lulu Wilson.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with both Wexler and Wilson ahead of the premiere to talk about the series’ punk origins and why it feels like the perfect film for right now.
Wilson, too, was game to share just how cathartic the six years in the Becky universe have been. She was just 13 when the first movie, Becky, was filmed. At 20, the series remains as near and dear to her heart as ever.
Make sure to check out The Last Temptation of Becky if you’re in Montreal, and stay tuned to Dread Central for more. This is one horror fans won’t want to miss.
