A 22-year-old man was found dead inside a public toilet at Kalmanthai Colony in the city on Tuesday. Police identified the deceased as V. Rajamanickam of Kalmanthani Colony, who worked as a private sweeper.  Police said that he had been consuming alcohol and injecting drugs using a syringe.  Public noticed the man lying dead inside the toilet and alerted the police. 

The body was shifted to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital here and handed over to the family members after completion of autopsy. The Gandhi Market police have registered a case under Section 194 of the BNSS, said police sources.
