Our friends at Paragon Performance just conducted a real-world test of the new 2027 Corvette Grand Sport where they measured the performance stats for 0-60 MPH, 60-130 MPH, and the Quarter Mile. All were conducted on the street, and the times were recorded by a Dragy GPS device.

Paragon says that “street testing matters just as much as dyno numbers and drag strip passes” because the reality is that most Corvette owners will never hit the track, let alone in a Corvette that has been spec’d and modded for drag racing. Instead, the normal Corvette owner is launching from a stop light, merging on a highway, or settling a friendly wager on a back road somewhere. That’s one of the reasons why the 0-60 MPH is one of the major metrics for sports cars and other high-performance vehicles.

To that end, they now have five of the seven models produced during the C8 era at their shop in Iowa and tested every one the same way for a realistic comparison of what these cars are capable of in everyday conditions. Of course, Chevy also makes it easy with each model having launch control and of course the other common denominator is the unprepped street. All the cars were testing using the default launch control settings, and they were all done in about 15 minutes of each other.

Before watching the video, I took a look at the Corvettes on the list and then ranked them 1-5 to see how my picks ranked in this real-world test. Try it for yourself and let us know your score in the comments below.

We’re going to talk results now, so if haven’t watched the short six-minute video, here’s the summary showing each model with their fastest and slowest runs:

1. E-Ray: 2.83s / 2.92s
2. ZR1: 3.33s / 3.44s
3. Grand Sport: 3.55s / 3.63s
4. Z06: 3.58s / 3.63s
5. Stingray: 3.79s / 3.86s

The E-Ray’s hybrid/AWD launch advantage really shines here and crushed the field in a straight-line 0-60. Also worth noting is that the new Grand Sport matched the Z06 off the line, although we think the Z06 would likely pull ahead in an eighth- or quarter-mile contest.

As for my score, I went three for five with my list having the Z06 ahead of the Grand Sport. Again, those times for these models with two very different engines are nearly identical, and that was the eye-opening stats that we took away from this test.
