Minister for Prohibition and Excise Jupally Krishna Rao assured the delegation that the State government was committed to addressing the genuine concerns of NRIs through coordination with the departments concerned. He acknowledged the contribution of the Telugu diaspora to Telangana’s development and its role in enhancing the State’s global profile.

Interacting with members of the NRI Committee on the sidelines of the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) Convention in Baltimore, United States, he discussed issues concerning NRIs, particularly the Telugu diaspora.

Mr. Krishna Rao reiterated that the government accords importance to its relationship with overseas Telugus and would continue to encourage their participation in the State’s growth.

Highlighting various issues faced by NRIs and their families, they offered suggestions to strengthen engagement between the Telangana government and overseas Telugu communities.

The discussions also covered measures to promote tourism, attract investments, enhance cultural exchanges and deepen ties between Telangana and the global Telugu community.
