As Alex de Minaur continues his Wimbledon campaign, fans are once again taking an interest in the woman who has become one of the most familiar faces in his player box.

That woman is British tennis star Katie Boulter, his fellow professional, biggest supporter, and fiancée.

The pair have become one of tennis' most recognizable power couples, balancing elite careers while regularly cheering each other on at tournaments around the world.

Their relationship has only drawn greater attention during Wimbledon, where British crowds have embraced De Minaur as an "honorary Brit" because of his connection to Boulter.

He has also received strong support from home fans in London, even after Boulter's early exit from this year's Championships.

Who is Katie Boulter?

Katie Boulter is Britain's leading women's tennis player and has established herself as one of the country's most consistent performers on the WTA Tour.

Born in Leicester, England, she began playing tennis as a child and turned professional in 2013.

Known for her powerful serve and aggressive baseline game, Boulter has won multiple WTA singles titles and has represented Great Britain in international competitions, including the Billie Jean King Cup.

She has also become a regular presence at Grand Slam tournaments and has enjoyed some of the strongest seasons of her career over the past few years.

Away from the court, Boulter has earned praise for her candid discussions about the mental challenges of professional tennis while also building a strong following through brand partnerships and media appearances.

Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter's relationship timeline

De Minaur and Boulter began dating in March 2020 after meeting on the professional tennis circuit.

They kept their relationship largely private before making it public in 2021.

Since then, the pair have frequently traveled together on tour and have become known for supporting one another from the stands.

They have also teamed up in mixed doubles, including at Wimbledon, giving fans a glimpse of their chemistry on court.

Their relationship reached a new milestone in December 2024 when they announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post, writing, "We've been keeping a small secret," alongside a photo showing Boulter's engagement ring.

Wedding planning has occasionally become a light-hearted talking point during press conferences.

Speaking during the 2026 Australian Open, De Minaur joked that planning was a "50-50 relationship" before adding that Boulter would probably handle details such as "napkins and flowers."

More recently, De Minaur also revealed that the pair's competitive nature motivates both of them.

"It brings out the best in each other. We have a little bit of that competitive nature in us where we both want to do better than each other, and it just brings out a healthy competition," De Minaur told ATP Tour.

He added with a smile that after Boulter's impressive run at Queen's Club, he wanted to match her performance because, "if not, I'll never hear the end of it."

Why their relationship stands out

De Minaur and Boulter have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight, preferring to let their tennis do the talking.

Still, they have become one of the sport's most admired couples because of the genuine support they show for each other's careers.

Whether celebrating tournament victories, practicing together, or appearing courtside during Grand Slam events, they have consistently emphasized that their relationship is built on mutual respect as much as friendly rivalry.

With De Minaur still chasing his first Wimbledon semifinal and Boulter remaining one of Britain's biggest tennis stars despite her first-round exit this year, the couple continues to be among the most closely followed partnerships in professional tennis.
