I saw a preview for the new movie adaptation a few months ago and it looked amusing (sheep who solve a mystery? Ha!), so I put this one on the list. I have to say up front, that I was tickled to death with the Irish narrator – just listening to her speak is a wonnerful ting indeed!

After the initial novelty (sheep who are trying to figure out human stuff! Ha!), I got a little bogged down with who’s who and the plot. But, as it is relatively simple, it all came clear and caught my interest again towards the middle/end of the story. As with most mysteries there’s a fairly big red herring (some shady business George, the murdered shepherd, was mixed up in) but we get a full reveal at the end.

As expected, the best parts aren’t the mystery itself, but the humorous bits as the sheep try to understand humans. Now I need to watch the movie! I shall return and report.
