And now in his latest project, Jordan investigates what is inside vapes for his new BBC Three documentary.
During an appearance on The One Show, Jordan explained he started vaping a few years ago, like many people, to help cut back on cigarettes.
Explaining why he took part in the documentary, Jordan said: 'I've been asked to do a few before and they weren't that interesting, but I used to smoke and to stop I started vaping. Then I started vaping more than I was smoking.'

He added: 'I wanted to get to the bottom of it. I was reading horror stories and to be fair to the BBC they said I can do it my way my style, and I said I didn't want it to be preachy either.
Jordan revealed he wanted to participate in the documentary to uncover the truth about vapes’ health repercussions.
Speaking on the heartbreaking moment of filming that made him quit vaping, he said: 'I don't want to give too much away, but I spoke to a girl called Gemma and it hit home.
'She has a serious lung disease now and her doctor said it was likely from vaping. She can't do day-to-day tasks like take the kids to school. And that day after filming I said I'm not vaping again, and I haven't vaped since.'
Elsewhere in the programme, Jordan joins Newcastle Trading Standards as they conduct raids on shops selling illegal vapes.
It comes after Jordan bid farewell to Radio 1 earlier this month to join Capital's Breakfast Show, replacing its longtime host Roman Kemp.
Following Jordan's huge announcement, it was revealed Jamie Laing, 35, will take his place - Monday to Thursday, 3.30pm to 6pm - next to radio co-host Vick Hope.
It was claimed that the news he was leaving the show was a 'shock to him' as information about the departure 'was issued without his knowledge in chaotic scenes'.
The publication reports that he had unwittingly already presented his last episode of the show by the time his departure was announced.
Tensions had reportedly been high 'for months' about his departure after he let producers know he wanted to leave.
Explaining why he took part in the documentary, Jordan said: 'I've been asked to do a few before and they weren't that interesting, but I used to smoke and to stop I started vaping. Then I started vaping more than I was smoking.'

The source said: 'Conversations were going back and forth between Jordan's people and the top people at the BBC for months, and over time they deteriorated.
'Once he formally requested to leave, that was it – he was off air, immediately.
'It's a shame it ended on such a bad note after 10 years.'
The BBC and Jordan have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
Thankful for all the support from his listeners, Jordan – who also hosts the Help I Sexted My Boss podcast – took to Instagram to thank his 834,000 followers for their positive reaction as he broke his silence last week.
Sharing and album of throwback snaps of his time at the station, Jordan captioned his update: 'Hello everyone.
'I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful colleagues / talented producers at Radio 1 who many I consider to be friends for life and will miss greatly, you've all reached out to me over the past 24 hours and it really has meant a lot.

But not all fans were left happy after the announcement as some fled to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their upset.

His replacement, Jamie, is a broadcaster and producer who currently co-hosts the hugely successful Radio 1 podcast '6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer'.
He can also be heard on the popular podcast 'NewlyWeds' which he presents alongside his wife Sophie Habboo.

How much nicotine is in an e-cigarette?
There are many different brands of e-cigarettes, containing various different nicotine levels.
The legal amount of nicotine in an e-liquid capacity in the UK is 20mg/ml equating to between 600 and 800 puffs.
The Elf Bar 600, one of Britain's most popular vapes, is advertised as coming in nicotine strengths of 0mg, 10mg and 20mg.
How many cigarettes are 'in' an e-cigarette?
The Elf Bar 600 contains the equivalent to 48 cigarettes, analysts say.
It delivers 600 puffs before it needs to be thrown away, meaning, in theory, every 12.5 puffs equate to one cigarette.
Experts say for many e-cigarettes, 100 puffs equate to ten normal cigarettes.

Is vaping better for your health than cigarettes?
Vaping products are considered to be better than cigarettes as users are exposed to fewer toxins and at lower levels, according to the NHS.
The health service adds that vaping instead of smoking cigarettes reduces your exposure to toxins that can cause cancer, lung disease and diseases of the heart and circulation, such as strokes and heart attacks.
Public Health England, which is now defunct, published an expert independent review in 2015 concluding that e-cigarettes are around 95 per cent less harmful than cigarettes.
However vaping is not risk-free, as while levels in tobacco-products are much higher, e-cigarettes still contain harmful toxins, according to a study by researchers from the Medical University of Silesia in Poland.
And Dr Onkar Mudhar, a London dentist who posts videos on TikTok, said Elf bars can cause gum inflammation, swelling and bleeding.
He said this is because nicotine dries out your mouth and reduces saliva, causing irritation from a build-up of bacteria and food that can't get washed away.
Nearly 350 hospitalisations due to vaping were logged in England in 2022, which are thought to be mainly down to respiratory problems, such as shortness of breath, chest pain, lung inflammation and, in severe cases, respiratory failure.
