A man was shot and killed in an apartment complex parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip Monday night before the suspected shooter fled the scene, police said.

Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Robert Price said police received several 911 calls around 7 p.m. reporting two men arguing in a parking lot and several gunshots fired at the 4600 block of Grand Drive, near East Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane.

Officers at the scene found a man in his 30s lying in the lot with several gunshot wounds, Price said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, he added.

Price said two men were arguing about an unknown subject when the shooter pulled out a firearm, shot the man and fled the scene. The number of shots fired is unknown as of Monday evening, Price said.

The suspected shooter, a man in his 20s, fled the scene before police arrived and remains at-large as of Monday evening, Price said.

“This is an isolated incident. There is no threat to the public at this time,” Price said. “We do encourage anybody with any information to please reach out to LVMPD Homicide or, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can always call Crime Stoppers of Nevada.”
