A stunning beach house in Cornwall designed by the acclaimed architect of celebrity haunt Soho Farmhouse has hit the market.

Soho House and Farmhouse architect Alex Michaelis bought the property in 2009, converting it into a holiday home to replace a 15th-century cottage that once stood at the site.

Now, it's entered the property market as a four-bedroom home – for the staggering price of £2.5million.

Little Cottage is set in Cornwall’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on Praa Sands beach, making it ideally located for surfers and beach-lovers.

The design is white and minimalist, with an uber-modern edge. 

Split across two floors, the building offers a spacious living area, a log burner and underfloor heating – which will be welcome during the cold winter months.

The kitchen is complete with all the amenities the lucky buyer might need.

Bedrooms have ensuites and gorgeous views, with three overlooking the sea.

Meanwhile, the bathrooms have been specially designed to provide ocean views directly from the bath, Alex told The Times. 

The listing on Rightmove described the property as 'occupying one of Cornwall's most spectacular frontline positions above the golden beaches of Praa Sands'.

It adds that the property commands 'breathtaking panoramic views across Mount's Bay and the Atlantic Ocean from a wonderfully private setting'.

The cottage has a sculptural staircase with slitted windows underneath a roof light, which was inspired by the concept of a sea shell. 

Alex Michaelis is co-founder of Michaelis Boyd, the architecture practice that worked with Soho House since 1995 on the design of many of their projects.

In the UK, this includes the original Soho House on Greek Street in London and Soho Farmhouse.

Further afield, he has contributed to Soho House Berlin, and Soho House LA, among other projects.
