we need to pass the value of some boolean parameters to scripts. when testing, we’ve discovered that boolean true values may be stringified as "true" or "1", and boolean false values may be stringified as "false" (haven’t confirmed it can be "0")
i haven’t found any documentation about this stringification, meaning CircleCI may have additional conversions that we haven’t encountered, may add additional ones in the future, and/or may change the stringification at any time. this means that script logic may suddenly start to fail
we’d appreciate some official documentation about which string values are used in which circumstances, partly as a guarantee of future stability, and to minimize the developer headache of trying to figure out how to get their script to work by running through CI several times
