Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova said on her X profile that the drone attack on two commercial vessels in Bulgaria’s Exclusive Economic Zone was unacceptable and showed that Black Sea security is directly linked to European security.
Petrova described the attack as a serious breach of international law and safe-navigation principles, saying the incident goes beyond maritime security and demonstrates the importance of the Black Sea to Europe’s overall security.
The foreign minister said the protection of civilian crews and freedom of navigation in the Black Sea must remain a priority.
