Dubai’s big-hitting malls are likely spots many residents are familiar with: from the super-sized Dubai Mall, to the lifestyle-led Mall of the Emirates complete with an indoor ski slope and Dubai Hills Mall, where brilliant fashion brands are found alongside top foodie options and the world’s fastest indoor rollercoaster. But within communities across the city, there are new malls popping up, with five more malls set to bring new flavours, spaces and experiences to Dubai before the year is out.

So let’s take a closer look at the five new malls opening in Dubai in 2026. 

From August 19, you’ll be able to visit The Grand, Nad Al Sheba Garden’s new community mall. While it’s set to be a handy spot for local residents to pick up essentials, it’s also set to become quite the lifestyle destination, with some brilliant restaurants making their way to this part of town. Opening in phases, expect to shop for all the essentials at Waitrose, dine at cult favourites Kokoro (pictured above), Blu Pizzeria and Bake My Day, and spruce up your house with homewares from Heart Cottage Lane

First Avenue Mall Jumeira (not to be mistaken for the First Avenue Mall already open in Motor City) has been under construction for several years, but it’s finally set to open in 2026, with a tentative opening set for September. Located on Jumeirah Road, near Jumeirah Fishing Harbour, it’s set to become quite the foodie destination, with confirmed concepts going in, including celeb hangout Jon & Vinny’s, the fancy canteen concept Nala from the team behind Tashas (pictured), and a permanent outpost of Lost in Tokyo.

Since last year, Le Meryeme Mall has been under construction in the heart of The Villa community, and it’s slated to open in Q3 2026, meaning it should be just weeks away. Designed as a community hub for residents of The Villa, you’ll find everything you need inside the 124,000-square-foot space. A mix of premium and casual retail offerings will be enhanced with leisure and wellbeing experiences, with the plans including a state-of-the-art gym and rooftop pool, bringing a resort feel to an urban retail destination. So far, Le Meryeme Mall’s Instagram account has confirmed stores inside will include Mumso, Dastaan: Barbers & Beyond, Katrina Coffee & Cakes, Carnival soft play and a gym by My PT.

Following shortly after the debut of Le Meryeme Mall in The Villa, will be Le Meryeme Mall – Liwan, opening in the final part of the year in Wadi Al Safa 2. Designed for dining, wellness, boutique retail, and everyday convenience, the 113,000-square-foot space is conveniently located in the heart of Liwan and will also serve Dubai Silicon Oasis residents within a 5-10 minute drive. Less is known about the retail mix of this mall, but alongside shops and restaurants, it’s set to house a hypermarket, medical centre, sports areas, kids’ spaces and an outdoor events plaza.

Great news for Sobha Hartlands residents: the Dhs210 million community mall is finally set to open this year. Although an official date hasn’t been set, the new mall will bring 35 shops within residents’ fingertips, with a supermarket, gym, play zones, and over 10 dining spots all part of the experience. Although details remain under wraps for now, we can’t wait to check it out.
