New York Mets star outfielder Brandon Nimmo had a scary moment in Friday night's game against the San Francisco Giants.

In the bottom of the third with the Mets trailing 2-1, Nimmo got clocked in the face with a 91mph fastball from pitcher Kyle Harrison.

Nimmo was clearly shaken up by the hit - as he was seen shaking his head trying to stay upright.

He was seen leaning on his teammate J.D. Martinez as people from the dugout came out to check in on him.

Fortunately, Nimmo was wearing a faceguard on his helmet and did not require any further medical attention.

Nimmo jogged on down to first base and pointed at the sky before play continued.

Just a few pitches later, Nimmo even recovered enough to steal second base off Harrison. 

Martinez flied out to center to end that half of the inning - stranding Nimmo in scoring position. 

Nimmo finished the night going 0-for-3 from the plate with that hit-by-pitch as well as an intentional walk.

The Giants fell into a 6-2 hole in the game before scoring five runs in the eighth to come back and win 8-7 in Queens.
