Richard Harmon and Sarah Dugdale are taking the next step in their love story. The Hollow co-stars announced on Monday that they are engaged, sharing the joyful news with a carousel of loved-up photos on Instagram after two years together.

The first image captured the romantic moment Richard kissed his fiancée on the cheek as the Virgin River star beamed at the camera while proudly showing off her sparkling engagement ring. 

Another snap saw the pair smiling as they held heart-shaped treats, while a third featured them dressed in coordinating bohemian-inspired outfits. The carousel also included a sun-soaked holiday photo of Sarah overlooking the water.

Set to Bonny Light Horseman's song Deep in Love, the couple simply captioned the post: "Forever date your mate."

Although Richard and Sarah first worked together on The Hollow in 2015, romance didn't blossom until years later.

The couple went public with their relationship in April 2024 and have regularly shared glimpses of their life together ever since.

That summer, Richard paid tribute to Sarah in a heartfelt Instagram post, writing: "Thanks for all the years of friendship and all of whatever the hell we've been doing lately. Thank you. I love you. Stick around."

Sarah was equally smitten, later describing Richard as "the love of my life" and saying: "Loving this man is pretty sweet."

Just months ago, she called herself "lucky" to be in a relationship with the actor in another affectionate social media post.

The engagement announcement was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from friends, fans and fellow actors.

Richard's The 100 co-star Eliza Taylor commented: "Awwwww this is THE BEST NEWS!!! Congrats you two."

Sarah's Virgin River co-star Kandyse McClure also shared her excitement, writing: "Perfect. Just perfect. Congratulations Sarah!!!"

Actor Alycia Jasmin added: "Congratulations!!", while Michael Beach commented: "I love this."

The overwhelming response reflected how beloved the couple have become among their friends and followers since making their relationship public.

While their romance officially began in 2024, Richard and Sarah's relationship was built on years of friendship after meeting on the set of The Hollow almost a decade earlier.

Now, two years after taking their relationship public, the actors are preparing for an exciting new chapter together, with fans eagerly celebrating the engagement and looking forward to seeing what comes next for the happy couple.
