Let’s Talk – CNV Update

The City of North Vancouver is making it easier and more intuitive for people to take part in City decisions. As part of this work, we’ve updated our online engagement platform, Let’s Talk CNV.

Let’s Talk CNV is where you can learn about past and current City projects, see how community input is helping shape decisions, and take part in engagement opportunities. The updated platform offers a more user-friendly and accessible experience, making it easier to find information and get involved.

New HJCRC and Silver Harbour Seniors’ Activity Centre

The City is building a brand-new Silver Harbour Seniors’ Activity Centre as part of the Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre project, which in return aims to revitalize and enrich the surrounding area. View the latest renderings to see what the future space will look like.

Two centres, seamlessly connected. A fully covered, accessible pathway lined with beautiful plants will make moving between community spaces easier than ever!

• Grow a mix of plants – Native species that flower throughout the year and bloom all season often feed more pollinators than non-native plants.
• Diversify colours and shapes – Attract different pollinators with diverse plants.
• Avoid pesticides – Protect pollinators from harmful chemicals as pesticides and fertilizers can kill some pollinators and harm other beneficial insects.

Earth Month – Green Waste Reminders 

• Place all green waste together in a 77-litre can with a lid and a Green Can decal.
• Stick to six! There is a weekly limit of six Green Cans, bags, or bundles.
• Yard trimmings, but not food scraps, are also accepted in kraft paper bags with folded tops. 
• Bundle twigs and branches with biodegradable string or twine (no wire, nylon rope, plastic strapping), and place beside Green Cans. 
• Most multi-family Green Bins don't allow yard waste. Check with your building or strata manager for details.
