Job Description

Utah Helicopter and Platinum Aviation is a flight school based out of Spanish Fork with a satellite location in West Jordan. We operate in accordance with FAA Part 141, providing industry leading flight instruction and tour flights throughout the State of Utah.  We are currently seeking an A&P mechanic  to assist with the completion of all maintenance. Our fleet consists of Robinson Helicopters and General Aviation Airplanes (Diamond, Cessna, Piper). 
 
Role Summary: 
 
The Mechanic holds a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and safe operation of the flight school fleet, ensuring aircraft are ready for training flights and checkrides while ensuring minimal aircraft downtime and delays to student and instructor schedules. Active and thorough planning and communication is essential to success in this role.
 
Duties:

Assists with maintenance planning, scheduling, and completion of aircraft inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules for the fleet ensuring regulatory compliance and use of industry best practices.
Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine methods for repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components in a timely, cost effective manner.
Assists with inventory management. 
Maintenance shop cleanup, organization and basic office duties. 

Pay: 

Ranging between $31-$35 per hour depending on experience

Miscellaneous:

Much of each shift will be performed while standing or walking and includes reaching overhead, bending, and lifting. Must have the ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
Company is willing to pay for Robinson Factory Maintenance Course for selected candidate.
Position requires FAA-mandated drug and alcohol employment screening.
