Job Requirements

Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug/Alcohol screening. Must have a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License for at least 2 years. Must have actively worked as a certified A&P mechanic for at least 18 months out of the last 24 months. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience on the Bell 429 or completed the factory airframe and engine schools. Must have 3 months of field experience (with little or no supervision) working on the Bell 429. Must have or be able to obtain a USFS Mechanic Qualification card by meeting the above qualifications. Must have or be able to obtain a Class C CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsement. Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport. Preferred Inspection Authorization but not required. Schedule to be 12 Days on and 12 Days off. Aircraft home based in Ocala, FL.

Helicopter Express is accepting applications for full-time, experienced Utility/Fire Bell 429 Mechanic with CDL qualifications.

In 2023, we moved HX headquarters into our beautiful new 30,000 sq/ft hanger as part of our own aviation ranch on company owned acreage in northwest Georgia.  Along with our new HQ, we have facilities in both Lubbock, TX and Medford, OR.
