A new virtual golf and social spot has opened in West Wickham giving a vacant unit a new lease of life.

BayHouse recently opened on West Wickham High Street this month, bringing a new gaming and social spot to the Bromley area.

Plans were initially submitted in November 2025 to convert the former Avery Interiors shop at 54–56 High Street, which had closed after more than 35 years of trading.

The proposal, put forward by Modern Sport Ltd, outlined plans to open a new leisure venue featuring multiple indoor golf simulator bays alongside a bar, kitchen and small retail area selling golf equipment.

BayHouse Golf & Social has been designed as a modern leisure destination, combining indoor golf technology with a stylish hospitality-led setting. Inside, the venue features five full swing simulator bays alongside contemporary interiors and relaxed social seating areas.

The venue also features a clubhouse-style bar and lounge, creating a welcoming environment that blends sport, entertainment and dining, and is aimed at both experienced golfers and those simply looking for a social night out.

The venue offers a wide range of activities for visitors, with guests able to play virtual golf on world-famous courses including Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass.

As well as casual gameplay, BayHouse provides coaching sessions, practice facilities and custom club fittings.

Visitors can also take part in multiplayer games and more than 30 other activities, including football, cricket and rugby simulations.

Live sport is shown throughout the year via Sky Sports and TNT Sports, while food, drinks and coffee are served from the on-site bar and lounge.

The space is also available for social events, celebrations, corporate bookings and private hire, with membership packages on offer for regular users.
