The Bulgarian National Television (BNT) has ended its Ukrainian-language news broadcast, presenter and editor Maria Plachkova, a Bessarabian Bulgarian, said in a Facebook post.
The program was launched in 2023 for Ukrainian citizens who came to Bulgaria and began building new lives there after the outbreak of the war.
“The Ukrainian-language news on Bulgarian National Television is ceasing broadcast,” Plachkova wrote, describing it as a great honor to have worked as the program’s presenter and editor since it began.
